What is Accreditation?

Accreditation is a process by which a program is evaluated to determine if it meets ICACIT's quality criteria. The accredited status is not permanent, and has to be renewed periodically.

What distinguishes ICACIT Accreditation?
ICACIT accreditation is not a Ranking; rather, it is a way of ensuring quality, a statement to the professional community and society in general that the program meets the quality standards established by the profession.

ICACIT accreditation applies only to professional programs, not to departments, faculties, institutions or individuals. ICACIT as a specialized accreditor offers accreditation exclusively for computer programs, engineering and engineering technology.

How does a Program Achieve ICACIT Accreditation?
A program achieves ICACIT accreditation when it meets the criteria, policies, procedures on which the ICACIT evaluation is based. The ICACIT accreditation process typically takes 12 months to complete, beginning with the application form for an ICACIT visit.
